A new volcanic eruption occurred in Iceland in a few weeks ago. Authorities have closed off the area for the time being, and a huge ash cloud has emerged from the volcanic eruption. Scientist say that it will probably not be as bad as the one in 2010.

Acid rain

Nitrogen oxides, and Sulfur oxides.  Water condensates on those chemicals and they fall down together, it changes the acidic property of it, and the  water becomes acidic.

Guatemala

Earthquakes, Hurricanes, and Heavy Rains.  People cut down a lot of the trees that were blocking the mud slides from reaching the towns.  People are planting pine trees on mountains to help protect the people of Guatemala from the mudslides.

I don't think that this movie was that realistic because how can theses people survive like 6 things that usually would kill anyone?  and it just didn't look real when the volcano erupted.

soil

the reason that the soil in the dust bowl was not able to sustain plants was because the wind took all of the top soil off and then all that was left was the subsoil and the subsoil is not as rich with necessary things as the topsoil was.

mass movement

a glacier would be an example of mass movement because it picks up a lot of the dirt and rocks off of whatever it is on and it carries it to the ocean and it falls there.
